Advancing Reconciliation in the Post Secondary Sector

About This Project:

The McConnell Family Foundation supported a social innovation lab focused on bringing Reconciliation to the post secondary sector across Canada. The first iteration of the lab supported Lethbridge College and The University of Algoma to create solutions that would center school processes around indigenous ways of knowing and being.

Impact:

Indigenous ways of knowing were integrated into the graduation ceremonies where the elders and school chancellors led graduation ceremonies in partnership and integrating the local indigenous tradition into symbolic school milestones.
